6 guesses leftAny airport in the right city counts
Every day there is one real flight, a route an airline flies today. You get the airport it leaves from and six tries to name where it lands. Each guess tells you how far off you are and which way to go, and every miss unlocks a hint. Everyone gets the same flight, so you can compare results with friends.
How to play
- Look at where today's flight leaves from.
- Type any airport or city as your guess. The map draws the route to it.
- Read the distance, the arrow and the closeness score: together they point you to the answer.
- After each miss a hint opens: the flight's distance, its region, the destination's country, then the airline.
- Land it within six guesses. Any airport in the right city counts.
- Share your result and come back tomorrow for a new flight.
Questions
Are these real flights?
Yes. Every puzzle is a nonstop route that airlines fly all year round, taken from the route lists on our airport pages.
When does a new flight come out?
At midnight in your own time zone. Everyone gets the same flight on the same calendar date, so you can compare results with friends.
Does a nearby airport count?
Any airport within 80 km of the answer counts, so London Gatwick is right when the answer is Heathrow.
How is closeness worked out?
From the distance between your guess and the answer over the Earth's surface: 100% is the right city, and 0% is 10,000 km or more away. The arrow points from your guess towards the answer.
